There could be a ploy to delay the 2012 general elections and the Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution is now sounding the alarm.

Chairman Charles Nyachae has taken issue with unnecessary delays in legislating electoral bills with the time frame to the election becoming increasingly shorter.

According to the CIC, the next elections are due in August 2012 and there should be no plan to delay or postpone it.
