Parliament’s budget committee will push for the installation of four cancer machines at Kenyatta National Hospital to help those with albinism condition as well as in treatment of other forms of cancer.
Committee chairman Elias Mbau has expressed shock at negligence by health ministries over the issue. Kituo Cha Sheria Executive Director Priscilla Nyokabi told the committee there is only one such machine at Kenyatta hospital which is unstable. No money has been allocated for cancer treatment in this year’s budget.
