The government of German yesterday praised Kenya’s commitment to implement reforms. German deputy ambassador Michael Hasenau said the judicial appointments and the vetting process by the public and the experts is a clear indication that the country is serious with reforms process. The envoy said he is optimistic the country will pass all the requisite Bills before the next general election. He was speaking in Kisumu when he toured the Sh580 million centre of excellence.
Hasenau said there is still more time between now and the next elections for the Bills to be passed. He said even though little progress has made in enacting necessary legislations, there is willingness to fastrack the reforms. The envoy said the recent legal appointments are a key indicator that Kenya is on the reform path.
