Uíge — The commitment of the social communication of the northern Uíge province was highlighted on Wednesday by the local governor Paulo Pombolo, though he recognises that there are still some constraints.
The governor said so to Angop on Wednesday, while meeting with a delegation of the Angola Press Agency (Angop-EP), led by its executive administrator for information, Luísa Damião, who is paying visit to this province in the framework of a strategy of her Board of Directors, aimed for monitoring the functioning of its structures.
On the occasion, Paulo Pombolo expressed his satisfaction at the work carried out by local information organs, and this has been contributing to the divulgence of facts in the region by the national and international public opinion.
The official pledged the support of his government for the resolution of problems that affect the Angolan Public Television (TPA) and state-owned daily newspaper of Jornal de Angola (JÁ).
According to him, everything is being done in order to expand the signal of television and radio to the most remote areas of the province.
