Luanda — The country’s production levels of about 30 literary works are still low and insufficient to meet people’s demand, said Saturday in Luanda, the assistant secretary general of Youth Brigade of Angolan Literature (BJLA), John Bella.

Speaking to Angop on production of books in Angola, the writer said that the country’s publishing houses need to work hard with a view to meet the demand of more than 16 million inhabitants.

On the other hand, the poet regretted the lack of institutions for distribution of the books in all schools of the country.

On the infant book, the BJLA assistant secretary suggested the creation of an exclusive fund for this kind of literature, where the State and the society in general share the production of more infant books.
