Steve Biko ace Alasana Camara is waiting on a call from Deportivo La de Corunna following a brief tryout with the relegated Spanish outfit, ForoyaaSports understands.
The U-20 skipper left the shores of the country for a trial with the Coru-a, Galicia-based football club some weeks ago and is now back waiting on the outcome of his trial.
The youngster also underwent a short but a brief test with Turkey club Genclerirgi SK in 2009, shortly after a victorious outing with the Gambia U-17 in Algeria in 2009.
GFA’s Kemo Ceesay confirmed that Camara is still waiting to hear from the 2004 Uefa champions league semi-finalist.
Real Club Deportivo de La Coru-a also called Royal Sporting Club of La Coru-a is a professional football club based in the city of A Coru-a, Galicia; founded in 1906 and currently playing in La Liga. Since the Spanish football league system was established in 1928, it has spent all but two seasons in the top two tiers, but it has relegated from top flight to Second Division this year 2011.
Depor has won the league title once, in the 1999-00 season, finishing as runner-up on five occasions. The club has also won the Spanish Cup twice, (1995 and 2002) and three Spanish Super Cups.
