Luanda — The 18th General Assembly of the African Export and Import Bank (Afreximbank) will happen from 19 to 25 June, in Luanda, ANGOP has learnt.
The event is to analyse and approve the 2010 report of the organisation, discuss the matters relating to new headquarters, the current situation in Egypt, as well as Angola taking up the institution’s Shareholders Assembly chair for the next three years, in the person of the Finance minister Carlos Lopes.
Besides the General Assembly of shareholders, which is held once a year, in parallel it will be held the 17th meeting of the Afreximbank Consultative Group for financing of commerce and development of exports in Africa, as well as a fair dubbed “Export Angola”.
Afreximbank’s organs are the Board, Executive Committee and Management Committees, as well as a shareholders structure divided in three categories (A,B and C).
Angola is a founding member and shareholder of the Afreximbank since 1993.
This continental institution is based in Cairo, Egypt.
