Menongue — The Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos, arrived on Thursday at 9h30 a.m in Menongue district in the eastern Kuando Kubango province, where he is chairing the first extraordinary session of the Standing Commission of the Cabinet Council.
At the local airport, the Head of State was received by the provincial governor of Kuando Kubango, Eusébio de Brito Teixeira, officials of the central government, who are already in this province to attend the meeting aimed at discussing social and economic issues.
According to his agenda, which Angop on Thursday, the Angolan President is going to meet the governor Eusébio de Brito before the first extraordinary meeting of the standing commission of the Cabinet Council.
At the end of the first extraordinary session of the Permanent Commission of the Cabinet Council, José Eduardo dos Santos is expected to visit some local economic infrastructures and meet clerics and chieftains of the region.
This is the first time the Standing Commission of the Cabinet Council is meeting outside of Luanda province.
