A bid by police to withdraw a 12 million shilling cocaine haul case against a businesswoman has been rejected by a Nairobi court. The prosecution wanted to substitute the charges of drug trafficking with a lesser one of possession of a poisonous substance. Kibera senior principal magistrate Grace Nzioka rejected the application saying the affidavit had been improperly drawn. The business woman was arrested at the JKIA on the 10th of June.
