The ministry of transport has been rated the worst performing government agency according to a recent performance evaluation. The ministry, headed by Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya scored poorly in the evaluation followed by the ministry of East African Community. The Ministry of planning, national development and vision 2030, headed by Wycliffe Oparanya is the best performing ministry followed closely by the ministry of gender, children and social development. President Kibaki has hailed the public service for the drastic improvement in quality of service offered by government ministries and agencies.
