Luanda — The Angolan deputy minister of Environment, Syanga Abílio, is travelling Tuesday to Munich, Germany, to attend the 4th Germany-Angola Economic Forum going from June 16-17, Angop learned.
Accompanied by officials from his department, Syanga Abílio will address the meeting’s panel on “Environment Technologies”, focusing on Angola’s potential and partnership opportunities.
According to a note that reached Angop, the Germany-Angola Economic Forum is a bilateral platform for economic cooperation between the two countries and takes place alternately in the two nations.
During the two-day event, the participants will discuss matters related to Angola in the post-global economic crisis era – opportunities and challenges, banking financing and guarantees in Angola, developments in Angola’s agriculture and industry.
Environment Technologies – water management, residual waters and wastes, Angola-Germany partnerships in the consumer industry, production and distribution of energy in Angola and development of Angola’s transforming industry are some of the topics on the agenda for the meeting that will be attended by about 250 specialists.
In 2010, the meeting was held for the first time in Luanda, with Germany attending with a delegation headed by the secretary of State for Economy and Technology, who officially opened the European country’s office in Luanda.
