According to the victim, Mr. Victor, the robbers entered his compound at about 12 midnight and ordered him to open his door or face severe consequences if the door is forced open.
He said when the door was opened; two of the robbers entered his apartment, brandishing dangerous weapons, while two others kept watch outside.
“They shouted on me to bring out money and when I said I had none, they ransacked my room as well as collected my mobile phone with my motorcycle key,” he stated.
The victim said the robbers went away with his motorcycle and fled the area before an alarm could be raised.
A resident of the area complained that hoodlums normally stay within a local cinema hall located in the vicinity and called on the police to raid the place.
The victim said they have reported the matter to the Mararaba Divisional Police Station on several occasions to dislodge the operators of the cinema hall from the area but their request has not been carried out.
When contacted, Mararaba Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Chief Superintendent Aliyu Haruna, said his division has not received such complaint and advised the complainant to come down to his office and lodge the complaint for proper investigations and necessary action.
