Sierra Leone: More National Talents for European Leagues

Freetown — Popular Swedish agent, Patrick Mork has exclusively told Concord Sports that he has scouted more potential Sierra Leonean football talents for Swedish and other big European leagues.

Mork, who recently visited Freetown together with two Swedish club officials from Kalmar FF and Trelleborg, said after several matches they were able to eye four to five potential talents, whom be believes, would have a bright future in the European leagues.

He said: “My partner, Chernor Musa Jalloh was able to organise several matches in which we were able to identify lots of local talents. For me it is a very successful trip for that reason. Of all the talents we saw, we were able to identify four to five who have great and bright future not only in the Swedish league but also in Europe.”

According to Mork, he is now waiting for the two clubs to have their first pick and their assessment before revealing who the lucky players are.

“I am waiting on their assessment and see who they can invite for trials. My ambition is for the players we identified to play in Europe,” Mork said and went on to express his love for Sierra Leonean footballers.

“I like Sierra Leone footballers so much and I usually call them the English men of Africa because they are very hardworking professionals, dedicated, which is the main reason for their success,” Mork said, adding that he wants to be in Rio in Brazil for the 2014 World Cup and watch Sierra Leonean players play.

Mork has been the agent for Ibrahim Tetteh Bangura, Mohamed ‘Poborsky’ Bangura, Khalifa Jabbie, Ibrahim ‘Marcel’ Koroma and few other Sierra Leonean players in the Scandinavia countries.
