The station which has a wind vane as its major gadget, was constructed by the newly formed school’s environment club and school’s administration in order to teach students the techniques used in climate change assessments.
The school also used the opportunity to open its newly build school orchard which is to be preserved by the students.
Executive Director, Sustainable Development Training Centre, Malam Ahmed Sambo, urged children to be environment friendly and help preserve the environment.
Representative of the Abuja Environmental Protection Board promised that the board will partner with the school on issues concerning sensitizing the public on the need to preserve and protect the environment.
Schools, including Glisten Secondary school, Queen Esther International, Treasure House, Montessori School and Loyola Jesuit also made presentations on environmental challenges.
