    Kinshasa — The holding of the fourth tripartite meeting marked the re-starting of the voluntary and organised repatriation in safe and better conditions of the Angolan refugees based in DR Congo.

    This was said to Angop on Wednesday by the Minister Welfare and Social Reintegration, João Baptista Kussumua, while addressing the closing ceremony of the referred meeting in representation of the Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos.

    The minister said that the timeline of the process will be taken into account as everyone is aware that the volunteer repatriation of Angolan refugees will start on July 4 this year, going until the first half of 2012, contrary to earlier announcement that mentioned June.

    To the official, the parties decided to organise a joint evaluation mission with representatives of the Government of Congo, UNHCR and the International Organisation of Migration (IOM) in order to enable the voluntary return the country of Angolans.
