Dar Es Salaam — This year’s Junior Open golf tournament will take place at TPC Moshi grounds from June 16-17.
The championship will involve young golfers from Dar es Salaam and Kilimanjaro, according to sources close to Tanzania Golf Union (TGU).
The sources told The Citizen yesterday that over 10 Dar es Salaam-based golfers have so far registered for the event.
They said the door was still open for those wishing to compete in the two-day tournament.
Participating golfers will battle it out for top honours in various categories during the championship.
“Winners in each category will take home various awards, including trophies and cash-prizes,” said one source, adding that preparations for the event were on course.
