Dede Ayew tries to console Asamoah-Gyan after Ghana’s World Cup exit
Ghana trio Andre Ayew, Asamoah Gyan and Richard Kingson are poised to grab the prestigious Sports Writers Association of Ghana’s footballer of the year award.
Ayew, 21, earned himself a cult status at the Stade Velodrome this season with some outstanding cameos winning the Marseille Player of the Season Award.
Striker Gyan also stands out as the most important player for Steve Bruce at Sunderland as he scored ten goals in his debut season in the English Premiership.
Goalkeeper Kingson made 22 appearances for relegated Blackpool and also had a memorable World Cup with the Black Stars in South Africa.
It will be a straight fight between Andre Ayew and Asamoah Gyan as their performances in the just ended season have been applauded by soccer fans and pundits.
