Garowe — The semi-autonomous state of Somalia’s Puntland on Tuesday accused the interim government of Somalia of stoking combat between the break away republic of Somaliland and Puntland.

In a news conference held in Puntland’s Capital Garowe, Ahmed Ali Askar, the minister of information the government of Somalia is trying to create crisis in northern Somalia, Puntland in particular.

He said that the Puntland administration is needed to look out those individuals against the stability of the region.

The minister also noted that they had seized officials from Al shabaab movement after search operations in the regions of Puntland.

The seized people were hectic in observation activities to see the weak sides of the administration, according to Askar, adding that they lately claimed to be Somaliland officials.

Somaliland and Somali interim government have not responded Puntland accusations.
