Dar Es Salaam — The sixth edition of the Tanga Cement Open will get underway on July 20, a prominent tennis coach, Salum Mvita said yesterday.Mvita told The Citizen that the tournament will be held at Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club and has already attracted over 100 young players.
“I hope this time around the event will be very competitive considering the number of young players showing interest. Already over 100 players have started training ahead of the tournament,” he disclosed.
The annual competition, according to him, is meant to promote the sport besides unearthing talented youngsters.
“They are ready for the show as they have been training consistently for some time now. It’s my belief that this year the top prize will remain in the country,” the coach said.(Calvin Kiwia)
