With another absorbing football season coming to a close, Goal.com and Football Manager have teamed up in order to find out who you feel has been the best manager in the English game during the 2010-11 season.

From legends of the game to triumphant underdogs, our list reflects the very best of those who have kicked every ball from the dugout and made the decisions to lead their teams to glory.

Below is our six-man shortlist of top managers and the link to where you can vote for who you want to win.

1. Neil Warnock – QPR
The former Sheffield United boss may split opinion like no other in the Football League but there can be little doubt that Warnock has done a superb job at Loftus Road.

The R’s ran away with the Championship, finishing five points clear of second-placed Norwich as their boss secured the seventh promotion of his managerial career.

2. Roberto Mancini – Manchester City
With great riches come great responsibility and for Roberto Mancini, the pressure to secure Champions League football following a vast summer spending spree was arguably more intense than for any other manager in the country.

Not only did the Italian meet his expectations, he surpassed them, picking up City’s first silverware in 35 years in the form of the FA Cup and leading his side to third, level on points with runners-up Chelsea.

3. Sir Alex Ferguson – Manchester United
Defeat at Wembley in the Champions League final may have soured the finale of Sir Alex Ferguson’s 24th season in charge at Old Trafford but the British game’s most successful manager once again proved that he cannot be written off.

With supposedly his worst team in years, Ferguson and his side delivered when it mattered, showing an unerring winning mentality on the way to securing the club’s 19th top division title, making them the most successful club in English league history.

4. Brendan Rodgers – Swansea
Following Monday’s victory over Reading at Wembley, Swansea City are the first Welsh team to enter the Premier League and they have got there playing the most stylish of football.

Having taken over a team with clear talent but lacking direction, Rodgers has taken only one season to take the team to third place in the Championship and then through the play-offs to the promised land of the top flight.

5. Kenny Dalglish – Liverpool

The return of ‘King Kenny’ to the Anfield dugout was always likely to be special, but having replaced Roy Hodgson in January, not even the Scot himself could have imagined just how well the beginning of his second tenure could go.

Sitting in 12th and only four points clear of the relegation zone in the first month of the year, Dalglish transformed a club in danger of tarnishing their rich history into a side that can look positively to the future. You can’t keep a great man, or his club, down.

6. Tony Pulis – Stoke City
There may not be a trophy to Stoke City’s name this season but no manager has been able to provide steady progression to a club in England’s top flight as successfully as Tony Pulis in the last few seasons.

Taking the Potters to their first FA Cup final in their 148-year history was matched by another season comfortably sat in mid-table. On the limited resources available to Pulis, he has performed a quite astonishing feat at the Britannia Stadium.
