District officials along with residents and other political actors were on Monday sent into a disarray at a school in Mpatta Sub County when their area Member of Parliament, Rev. Peter Bakaluba Mukasa, reportedly collapsed in public, during the election of Mukono district speaker.

Rev. Mukasa is an MP for Mukono South constituency.

District counsellors who were involved in the election later claimed that the MP’s fainting had everything to do with stress he got after the candidate he was supporting, Mr Godfrey Nsubuga Meemetereka, lost the post to Mubarak Mubiru Ssekikubo.

Others argue that Mr Bakaluba fainted because he had not taken his meal in time.
