Orji threatens Adelabu Housing Estate owners

Umuahia – Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State has threatened to recover from those who bought houses in Adelabu Housing Estate and were yet to pay up.

The governor also called for a change of attitude from people of the state, warning that his administration would no longer tolerate indiscipline.

“Those who buy houses in Adelabu Housing Estate and have not paid, we are going to give them deadline to pay up ; if they don’t we recover them,” Governor Orji warned.

He also warned that it would be no more business as usual, insisting that there was going to be stringent discipline among the people, especially residents of Aba.

He said: “Aba must not remain like that. Dirt in Aba must go. There must be discipline in Aba.”

Governor Orji assured the people that discussion was still ongoing over sharing of positions at the federal level and reassured them that Abia State would not be left out.

He said: “I will not betray the confidence you reposed in me. We are discussing with the President on what we should have and we are making a head way.

“Let nobody be deceived. There is politics everywhere but things are taking shape and our state can’t be left behind.

“We are in a haste to develop Abia. I have only four years and before you know it, it is over. So my resolve is to use every minute and hour. By May 29th, I will take a renewed oath of office and that renewed oath of office will change Abia.

“I am conscious of whatever I do. I am conscious of the fact that I will give account for whatever I do.”
