Luanda — A cleaning campaign dubbed “Sábados Limpos” will jointly be launched on Saturday 21 May by the Ministry of Environment and the National Earth Planet Committee in Luanda, in the framework of the nature preservation strategy.
The campaign will start in Mulemba locality in Sambizanga district, where the removal garbage will be held in order to eliminate the main hills of rubbish, as well as plant trees for a pure air.
According to a press note from the Ministry of Environment, which reached Angop on Friday, the campaign will involve municipal administrators and communal administrator of Ngola Kiluanji, environmental associations, such as Alliance Club, citizens and activists.
The document reads that works will also be supported by the garbage companies that operate in that locality.
The initiative is part of the broad awareness campaign on environment entitled “Let’s Educate together and Preserve the Earth Planet” launched in Luanda on 7 April 2011.
