Alberto Aquilani’s agent confident of permanent move to Juventus from Liverpool

Alberto Aquilani‘s agent is still confident Juventus will take up their option to sign the Liverpool midfielder at the end of his loan deal, but has revealed that there has been no interest from AC Milan, Inter or Roma.

The 26-year-old has made over 30 appearances for Luigi Del Neri’s men this season, and with Kenny Dalglish seemingly placing emphasis on youth at Anfield, the door seems to be open for the Italian giants to take up the option to sign the player on a full-time basis.

“We’re waiting to see how things evolve,” Aquilani’s agent, Franco Zavaglia, was quoted as saying by The Times.

“Juventus didn’t take up their option to sign him, but I’m still confident because I think that Liverpool are ready to do a deal. I believe an agreement will be found eventually.”

The option to buy the former Roma man comes with a price tag of £14.1 million, a fee which would represent almost a £6m loss on what the Anfield outfit are said to have paid for the Italian.

Since returning to his native country, Aquilani has forced his way back into international reckoning, but according to his agent, interest in his services on a full-time basis is limited.

Zavaglia added: “Are Inter Milan or AC Milan interested in the player? No, currently there aren’t these opportunities. A return to Roma? There is nothing.”
