Liverpool have made an official approach to Lille over a potential move for winger Eden Hazard, according to The Mirror.
The 20-year-old has reportedly been attracting the attention of many of Europe’s top clubs with his impressive performances for the Ligue 1 club.
But it is thought that the Reds could be in a better position than other teams to sign the player due to their willingness to give young players a chance – with John Flanagan, Martin Kelly and Jonjo Shelvey among the youngsters having featured this season.
Hazard, who is believed to be rated at around £20 million and has already made 19 appearances at international level for Belgium, has expressed his desire in the past to join a ‘big club’.
