Luanda — Angola and Mozambique will soon set up a platform for cooperation and exchange of information and views on the performance of the attorney offices from both countries, Angop learned Monday in Luanda.
This was said by the visiting Mozambican attorney general, Augusto Paulino.
The Mozambican magistrate was speaking to the press on arrival in Luanda for a four days work visit to Angola at the invitation of his local counterpart, José Maria de Sousa.
He said on the occasion the main purpose of his visit to Angola was to strengthen relations between the two attorney offices.
According to him, this is an exercise in which the struggle the attorney offices can not carry out alone, without an exchange of information, views and experience.
The Mozambican official said that during his stay in Angola, the parties will sign a memorandum of work to establish the routines of relationship in the fields of training, exchange of experience, analysis and treatment of various matters related to organised crime.
He informed that there is between Angola and Mozambique a starting basis established in Maputo, during the visit of José Maria de Sousa to that country when a common declaration was produced.
On the occasion, he also mentioned the work the two countries have been carried out within the framework of international concert as members of the African Association of Attorneys.
He recalled that Angola currently chairs the secretariat of the said association and Mozambique has been making contribution as a strategic partners, to the interest of progress, not only of the African Attorney Offices, but also of the consolidation of the capacity of the countries.
Augusto Paulino was welcomed at Luanda’s “4 de Fevereiro” International Airports by his local counterpart, José Maria de Sousa, officials from his office and the Mozambican ambassador to Angola, António Matonse.
