Football Federation List a Candidate Optimistic About Winning Election

Luanda — The candidate of list A in the election to the chair of Angola Football Federation (FAF), Pedro Neto, Friday in Luanda, said he was optimistic about his group winning the election of June 16.

Speaking to Angop short after the meeting with the electoral commission on the confirmation of the lists of candidates, Pedro Neto, admitted the difficulties facing his group, but said he was optimistic about a positive result for his list.

According to him, his team has worked hard and carefully to respond to the electoral commission’s requirements, particularly concerning the process of the members of the lists.

However, he showed reservation about speaking of his projects , but assured that his team will seek to fulfil its commitments toward the supporting masses, clubs and friends of football.

The list of Pedro Neto, a former president of 1º de Agosto club, includes gen. António França Ndalu, former FAF deputy president for national teams, José Luís Prata, ex-international Nando Jordão, and other figures of the national sport.

Opponent list B comprises businessman Artur de Almeida and one of the deputy presidents of the outgoing team, politicians, fellow businesspeople and former footballers.
