Kenya: Gor Sponsors to Unveil Official Replica Kit Soon

Gor Mahia FC and Tuzo, the club’s official sponsors, have assured club fans that the 2011 official replica kit will be unveiled in the next few weeks. They have consequently asked the fans to stop buying the old kit as well as ignore fake 2011 replica kit currently retailing in the market. The soon to be unveiled official practice, playing and replica kit for Gor Mahia FC will be designed and manufactured by Italian sportswear company LEGEA, and shall be available at selected outlets to be announced soon. Unlike in the past when the club had little control over revenue made from the sale of its branded merchandise, Gor Mahia will earn at least ten percent of all revenues from the sale of the official apparel and merchandise by LEGEA. LEGEA is one of the world’s fastest growing sportswear brands. In addition to outfitting Palermo and Udinese, both clubs in the Italy’s Serie A, it is also the official kit provider for the national teams of Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo, Iran, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Korea DPR, whose players wore Legea kit at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Other European clubs that wear Legea include Xerez in Spain, Greek Super League sides Iraklis and Apep as well as multiple Welsh champions, The New Saints. The kit will be of the highest quality and world-class standards, with the specific aim of making Gor Mahia the best-outfitted and trendiest team in Kenyan football. The new playing kit will feature Legea’s patented “Tree-Tech”, which guarantees “perfect fitting, top comfort and high garment sweating.”
