Chelsea boss Carlo Anceotti has been named Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month for April after a fantastic string of results that has propelled the London side to within just three points of table-toppers Manchester United.
The reigning champions were able to take 16 points from a possible 18, with victories against Wigan Athletic, West Brom, Birmingham City, West Ham United and Tottenham, and a draw at Stoke.
Ancelotti will be hoping to take the momentum from these games into the title showdown with Sir Alex Ferguson’s side on Sunday.
It is the third time this season that the former AC Milan boss has claimed the award and the fourth time since taking over at Stamford Bridge in 2009.
