Big Brother Africa Amplified kicks off on Sunday and speculation is rife on who the Kenyan contestant(s) will be. The grapevine is that Kenya might be represented by two contestants, a male and a female, one of whom is well known.

Meanwhile, Ugandan online gossip sites claim that Sharon Salmon, a member of the Obsession’s group, was raving about being chosen for the voyeuristic show while shopping for clothes to wear during her stay in Biggie’s House.

Ghanaian sites claim that female businesswoman Confidence, a proprietor of Club Aphrodisiac in Accra, is their rep. According to Graphic showbiz: “I know for a fact that Confidence was at the audition but I also know there were several other people some in the media and some out of the media. For example former Hitz DM presenter Amanda Jissih and Baby Gee of XFM were said to have taken part. Could Confidence have trumped all these people and got the opportunity to represent Ghana? If so does she have what it takes to go further than those before her? Would she be the one, if indeed she is, to win us that elusive Big Brother Africa mega bucks?” Fourteen countries will be competing for the top prize of $200,000 (Sh16 million) in the 91-day reality show.
