Luq — Tense situation is reported from Luq town in Gedo region in southern Somalia.
Reports from the region of Gedo say that Somali military forces and Al shabaab fighters are making military maneuvers just outside of Luq which is very near to Somalia-Ethiopia border.
There is fearful condition as locals may displace from their homes if clashes between Somali forces and Al shabaab erupted in those areas.
This tense atmosphere comes hours after Al shabaab fighters have ambushed Somali army in Luq, killing at least 10 people, mostly from the combatants, and injured dozens more.
