The MP says his optimism stems from the unprecedented social and economic achievements the constituency has seen under his two year mandate, and hopes the delegates would vote massively for him, come April 30, tomorrow
Hon. Dr. Owusu Afriyie emphasized that the Kwadaso constituency has seen massive developments in the areas of infrastructure, education, health and provision of basic social amenities, achievements which he said, had hitherto eluded the constituents.
The MP, who has been sharing his visions for the constituency, during meetings with party delegates, said it was his hope that the constituency under his tenure would witness enormous development that would enhance the socio-economic livelihood of the people, particularly the youth.
He noted that even though the Kwadaso constituency was the most deprived, after it was separated from the Bantama constituency eight years ago, he has managed through his own efforts and support from government agencies, to improve the state of roads in the constituency, provide educational facilities to schools, offer scholarships for needy but brilliant students and ensure proper sanitation in the constituency.
Amongst the projects the MP cited in the constituency include the construction of new bridge linking Tanoso to Techiman, provision of street lights to remote places, construction of a total of 26 classrooms at Kwadaso, Ohwimase, Apatrapa, Amanfrom Asuoyeboah and Nwamase amongst other communities.
The MP also said his two year tenure had seen improvements in environmental sanitation through the provision of public toilets at communities such as Kokode while plans were far afoot to construct similar ones at Denkyemuoso and Edwinase.
