With no win in their last three league matches, the French side have allowed defending champions Olympique de Marseille to come within two points of themselves.
Didier Deschamps’ side have played one fewer match than Lille and are in a good position to overtake Garcia’s team with games against Nice and Auxerre to come.
However, despite only holding a slight advantage over Marseille, Garcia is confident that his team will get the necessary results.
“You measure the quality of a side on their ability to bounce back,” Garcia told L’Equipe. “This group can do that because they know what they have to do.
“We know that no team will win every match between now and the end of the season – not us, not Marseille or any other team.”
Lille will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they face bottom-placed Arles this weekend.
