Gavin Henson’s agent Matt Ginvert has told Scrum V the centre will meet Toulon representatives on Wednesday lunchtime following his suspension.
French press reports have suggested Henson’s ill-fated Toulon career is over after only two games. He has not played for Wales since 2009.
Toulon have not yet made an official comment on Henson’s future.
Henson was suspended for a week following a nightclub incident earlier in April.
Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal has said Henson was “difficult to manage”.
A report in the L’Equipe newspaper on Tuesday reported he would not play for Toulon again.
Henson moved to France in February after a short spell with Saracens, but made only two appearances before the incident, which followed a win over Toulouse.
“Henson has had an attitude which has been difficult to manage,” admitted Boudjellal on Friday.
Boudjellal insisted Henson would be granted a fair hearing but conceded he has had problems with a player who has courted controversy throughout his career.
“This week I have tried to find out what happened because I have to make a decision which is the most objective possible,” added Boudjellal.
“I think I know now what happened, so I will make decisions on Monday. We are not here to back him into a corner. He is a boy who makes mistakes sometimes. He’s not the only one in rugby. There are others.”
Henson scored a try on his Toulon debut against Stade Francais but missed the side’s match against Perpignan on 23 April.
“It’s a disappointment because he’s a great player. I’m sure he would have had a good match on Saturday,” said Boudjellal ahead of that game.
“You can tell that he’s a great player.
“He’s a cut above and makes me think of Sonny Bill Williams. They are boys who are cuts above. But sometimes they hit rock bottom.”
