Elders Complain of Govt Troops in Dhobley

Dhobley — Local elders and intellectuals on Wednesday said they are complaining about Somali government forces, which recently seized the border town of Dhobley in Lower Jubba region in southern Somalia.

After meeting in Dhobley town, the elders said that they encounter countless hurdles from Somali forces in the area as well as the Kenyan border wardens.

Ahmed Nir Ibrahim, one of the local elders told Shabelle after the meeting that the forces of Somali government and Kenyan border guards have overflowed in the town.

He charged them with not having any discipline, calling for their chiefs to intervene the matter and organize the forces which are in everywhere in the Dhobley.

Also, local elders and intellectuals expressed a deep concern about Al shabaab sanction on the town since two months.
