Mogadishu — One of Somali parliament lawmakers on Sunday said that people of lawless Somalia are facing both conflict and drought ordeals.
Khalif Jirre Warfa, a Somali legislator, said in an interview with Shabelle Media Network that the ordinary civilian people live in desperate living conditions caused by the drought that hit many regions in southern and central Somalia.
He spelled out people and domestic animals started to perish of starvation and thirst as seasonal rains have failed in last two years.
Mr. Warfar hailed international and local aid agencies to stand and help those people who faced the toughest in their life.
