Luanda — The rehabilitation works at Luanda General Hospital, closed since last July for lack of security in its physical structure, will begin next June, according to the Provincial Director of Health, Isabel Massokolo.
The director, who was speaking to ANGOP at the weekend, added that at the same time there will open the area of paediatric hospital.
Built by Chinese technicians, estimated at USD 8 million, the unit has two floors and occupies an area of 800 square metres, in an area of five hectares, and is equipped with hospital rooms, outpatient and specialty, a morgue and kitchen.
In the health unit functioned specialties of otolaryngology, dermatology, paediatrics, neurology, ophthalmology, physiotherapy, among others.
The General Hospital of Luanda, built in Kilamba Kiaxi district, was inaugurated in February 2006.
