23 April 2011 Ondjiva — The head of reproductive health in the province of Cunene, Francelina Matias, Saturday called on pregnant women to carry out consultations in obstetrics and prenatal care in order to contribute to the reduction of maternal and child deaths. According to the official, lack of prenatal care can lead to various complications, with emphasis on postpartum haemorrhage and prolonged labour are the main causes of maternal deaths.

Luanda — The DR Congolese musician Koffi Olomide is no longer going to participate in saudade festival to happen on Saturday in Luanda’s Cidadela pavilion, on account of personal reasons.

This was said on Friday by a member of the organisers of the referred event, Adão Filipe, during a press conference aimed at briefing the show.

According to him, the singer had agreed in participating in the show, but at the last moment he dropped out for personal reasons.

The singers Jorge Neto (Livity), Jacob Desvaeur (Kassav), Micas Cabral (Tabanka Jazz) and João Seria (África Negra) also regretted the absence of the Congolese musician.
