Bengo Receives Over Akz 200 Million for Social Projects

Caxito — At least 217 million kwanzas of investments were made this year by the Municipal Administration of Bula Atumba, Bengo Province, in implementing 37 projects under the Rural Development Programme and Fight Against Poverty, an information that represents one of the most important fact this finishing week.

The information was released Monday, in Bula Atumba, by the municipal administrator, Domingos Ventura Neto, who explained that from this amount over AKZ 45 million have been used to implement six projects related to the sectors of Education, Health, Energy and Water.

The official considered as satisfactory the level of performance of the Municipality of Bula Atumba in the first quarter of this year, stressing that out of the measures within the Programme to Combat Poverty, six projects have already been paid for by about 30 to 40 percent.

The beginning, on Thursday, of the 31st anniversary celebrations of the city of Caxito (April 26), capital of Bengo Pprovince, with lectures, exhibitions and visits to historical sites, was another relevant fact of the week.
