THe Ondo State Government has awarded contracts worth N9 billion for rehabilitation of eight roads in the three senatorial districts.
In a statement at the weekend, Commissioner for Information Ranti Akerele said the roads included Ikare/Ugbe-Ise-Akoko road and bridge construction; Akungba-Ikare/Arigidi/Ugbe junction road.
Others were rehabilitation/asphalt overlay of Irele township roads; Ajagba-Iyansan road; Oke Aro/Cashhold/Adofure road; Olokuta Prison; Civil Service Commission access roads and premises; dualisation of Igbokoda township road.
Akerele said roads in Olisaro/Power Line/Sholagbade Street; Oshinle/Deji Aliu Street; in Akure, the state capital, would also be reconstructed.
