Both players have been included in the France squad for the first time since last summer’s disastrous World Cup campaign as national team coach Laurent Blanc seems to have forgiven the duo their behavior in South Africa.
Evra and Ribery were both part of the probable starting XI during a training session on Tuesday afternoon. The Manchester United full-back played in the place of the unavailable Eric Abidal, while Ribery featured in Mathieu Valbuena’s spot as right winger.
Meanwhile, Bordeaux midfielder Alou Diarra will probably start the match against Luxembourg from the bench as Blanc seems set to prefer Yoann Gourcuff, Samir Nasri and Yann M’Vila in midfield on Friday evening.
