Inter captain Javier Zanetti insists the reigning Champions League winners must pay Schalke a great deal of respect as they are set to clash for a berth in the semi-finals of the competition.
The veteran recognises the game will be as hard as any other as only the best remain in the tournament, and he told Italian publication, La Repubblica: ”You have to respect Schalke because it will be a hard game like any other. We need to be careful because there are no easy teams left in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.”
”We hope to pass this round. It’s a great draw for us and we really want to go all the way in the competition to the end.”
Inter are due to play Schalke at the San Siro on April 5/6 next month and the return leg is due to be held on April 12/13 at the Veltins Arena.
