Suleja Chapter of the Congress for Progresive Change (CPC) has decried intimidation and arrest of members following the explosion that killed 10 people last week.

A statement signed by the party chairman Malam Tijani Usman and secretary, Barrister Ibrahim Bako, alleged that party members are being detained for more than 24 hours in contravention of the law.

The statement said it is wrong to link CPC members to the bombing, adding that the party had joined millions of Nigerians in the condemnation of the wicked act.

“What we would not accept is the situation whereby the PDP makes use of this avenue to harass and intimidate the opposition in Suleja, especially the CPC which is the only party that has been slated for this unnecessary attacks and intimidation. We believe that this dastardly act was perpetuated as a result of the ineffectiveness of our security apparatus in the country,” the party said.
