Maicon won’t allow a Real Madrid wedge to be driven in between him and a future with Inter as he insists an extended stay in Italy is likely.
The Brazilian stopper has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and he appeared close to joining former coach Jose Mourinho in Spain last summer.
It was a wing-less move though as Maicon remained grounded in Milan, the city in which he intends to stay.
“Staying in Italy? This is what I really want, and the will to do so is always growing as last year we won the treble,” he told Globoesporte.com.
“I am not thinking of returning to Brazil either as my objective is to remain in Europe.”
