Jean Tigana will remain as Bordeaux coach, the club have confirmed via a note on their official website.
The former France international had come under scrutiny in recent weeks after a series of disappointing results saw the club drop into mid-table.
However, it seems the 3-0 weekend win over Auxerre has restored confidence in Tigana from club president Jean-Louis Triaud.
A statement on the club’s official website reads:
“Jean Tigana stays. The President Triaud, and Nicolas De Tavernost, president of the M6 Group, have reaffirmed their total confidence in Jean Tigana. The Bordeaux coach keeps his staff, apart from Michel Pavon.”
Pavon resigned from the club last week, but it has been confirmed Triaud is “set to meet Pavon again soon”.
