The Murtala Muhammed Foundation will hold a two-day conference with the theme Public Policy and Governance: 2011 and Beyond at the Sheu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja on March 8 and 9.
The forum provides a unique opportunity for the public to engage the candidates on expected deliverables in an atmosphere devoid of partisanship and antagonism.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation and daughter of the former Head of State, Mrs. Aisha Muhammed- Oyebode, said: “The Foundation is an NGO that is set up based on the ideals of my father and has as its focus promoting democracy, development and upright government.
“The Foundation wants to add value to the current political discourse by giving all presidential candidates the platform of a moderated event which offers a much broader interphase for citizen engagement.
“It is worthy stating boldly that this Policy Dialogue with presidential candidates is not designed, and will not be used, to embarrass or promote any candidate. It will be collegial, non confrontational atmosphere, devoted to issues of development, not to adversarial politics”.
