The New England Revolution waived central defender Emmanuel Osei Monday, the club announced.
The 28-year-old made 41 starts for the Revs over two years with the team.
Osei scored one goal and notched one assist during that time. Despite holding down a fairly consistent starting role, the Ghanian never quite gelled with the team. With the addition of A.J. Soares in the sixth pick of the 2011 MLS SuperDraft, Osei found himself the odd man out in central defence.
