Sunderland marksman Asamoah Gyan said he is not going through any stress to perform as Sunderland’s record signing.
The Ghanaian noted in a Sky Sports report that he is playing to the best of his ability and he hopes to meet the challenge that comes his way in the English Premier League.
“I like to be myself. I play my game. The price tag, the manager just saw that in me,” the derby day saviour against Newcastle said.
“He [Steve Bruce] wanted to bring me at all costs to Sunderland and finally, they made a deal. It’s a challenge for me. It shows the quality they have seen in me, so I am happy to have signed.
“Football is not about talking, it is demonstrated on the field. I don’t believe in talking too much.”
The 25-year-old who was signed for a record £13million has eight goals to his credit in 10 appearances.
