Big Brother Africa star turned singer, Mimi continues to spring out surprises as she was spotted with her boldest look yet! The singer has cut down her hair almost to her scalp! However that would not be the only fashion statement from the ‘Divalish’ one this new year; she is expected to launch her own clothing line later this year.
According to Mimi she is ready to launch ‘Divalish Fashions by MIMI’ on February 12 at a ceremony that would combine music and fashion for charity at the Galaxy Lounge of the A&C Mall. The event will open with a display of clothes, music CDs and items for sale at 9am. The clothes on sale would include dresses that Mimi wore only once for her music video shoots, her gowns for the 2010 Ghana Music Awards and other events all for charity. “I have a lot of clothing that I can’t repeat in my wardrobe and it would be a nice to sell these dresses for charity”, comments Mimi.
Later in the evening, there would be a fashion and music show to outdoor the Divalish Fashions line. With performances from Mimi and supporting artistes like Efya, Okyeame Kwame, Bertha, Melody, Chemphe and others, the stage would be set for the unveil of Mimi’s creations. Mimi will unveil her special collection called ‘Celebrity Wear’ which would be modeled on the runway by her fellow Big Brother Africa stars Tatiana (Angola),Sheila (Kenya), and Uti (Nigeria); and other celebrities like 4×4,VIP,Efya and many others.
Some of the proceeds from the sales would go into supporting the less privileged in the Northern Regions of Ghana.
