Another internet cafe who was running a lucrative business of making fake documents has been bust.
It is alleged that the 40-year-old man from Ekurhuleni was running the business right in his busy internet cafe.
The man produced a long list of fake documents which include fake identity cards, asylum papers as well as matric certificates.
The documents he was allegedly producing included tertiary qualifications, salary receipts, identity documents, court papers, such as eviction letters and affidavits, as well as police stamps.
His client base was very diverse considering the type of documents that he was producing.
Police spokesperson Captain Ben Matimulane said the man was arrested after an observant resident saw what looked like a fake asylum document being used by a woman at a local clinic.
Police raided the internet cafe after a tip off that was raised by a disgruntled client.
According to Matimulane, it is safe to assume that he has been running this business for a long time.
The internet cafe owner is expected to appear in court soon.
